Mother's Day Gifts for a Happy Mom

Mother's Day is closing in and you surely want to delight dear Mom with a gift she'll love. Well, maybe you're not sure what to get her, maybe you're not happy with what you already got her and want something more - don't fret and, we got you covered! If you're out of inspiration and want to show your affection in a way that won't scream "I picked this up on my way here", look no further and take a look at the following list as you might just find something that feels just right.

We encourage you to pay close attention to your mom's likes and dislikes to get the best gifts, but sometimes more generic gifts that you can tailor to them can mean a lot and be wonderful gifts on their own.

  • A day at the SPA

Take advantage of the occasion and relax with your Mom.

For Mother's Day, every Mom deserves a few hours of pampering so she'll be spoiled and feel like there is no such thing as stress, at least for a day.

In a SPA, she'll relax in a hot bath, she'll enjoy massages or aroma therapy sessions, body wraps, all these simple pleasures that will make any cares or worries simply melt away. And join her, there's no fun in having such a day all by yourself and spending time with you is one of the best things on Mother's Day! Hey, even if you're a man you should join her and let yourself relax in the wonderland that is a SPA - they're not exclusive to women, you know, luckily for you because those things are awesome.

Most cities have SPA resorts and you can pick exactly the activities you think she'd like and just let the lovely people there take care of you two. Maybe add a Yoga mat to the ecuation to help her relax and keep fit even when she's home.

  • A wonderful dinner out and about

Sushi would make for a scrumptious dinner.

The best thing to do if she enjoys cooking is treat her to something special and take her out for dinner. Have no clue what her favorite place is or what type of cuisine she enjoys? Detective work is in session then so put on your detective hat and ask Dad, your siblings or her friends and inconspicuously turn the conversation with Mom to restaurants: "They just opened a great Thai restaurant here, they even serve frog feet with soy sauce! How do you feel about Thai food?". If all else fails, a well reviewed place will do the trick. Dinner at a fancy restaurant is always a treat as you will both enjoy a delicious meal without the fuss of cooking or cleaning and you'll spend the time having a great conversation.

If she loves cooking and you'd like something small for her to play with in the kitchen, you can also get her a Belgian Waffle Baker that will make waffles for breakfast in a few short minutes and a French Press for a delicious cup of coffee. Why let the French smugly enjoy it by themselves?

Or if she's let's say open minded, innocently present her with a copy of Fifty Shades of Chicken. It's just recipes, but with a twist!

  • A weekend at a fabulous 5-star resort (in other words, your place)

If you cook such a breakfast for your family, the plan might backfire and she'll want to stay for longer.

If at all possible time-wise, distance-wise and money-wise, this would be a fantastic gift. Invite her over for a weekend at your place, cook for her, take her out to see the plays and museums or anything else she'd be up to, just be the host that will simply shower her with attention. It's especially great because you spend a lot of time together talking - quality time, quality time. And that's what most Moms generally complain about their kids, that they don?t spend much time together anymore, so now they'll pretty much get tired of you and not want to see you until Christmas.

If you live together or simply live too close to make the "trip" worth it, just prepare dinner and a nice evening and don't let her move a muscle!

  • A trip somewhere special

Fun and super adventure-filled if you forget your life vests.

A car is a must (or a boat?) in this equation or at least great public transport. Is there a place she wanted to visit and didn?t have the time over the years, maybe even see her childhood home? Don't pass the chance, get tickets and go together to whatever town/museum/place she wanted to see. If money is no object, dream big and get airplane tickets to another country.

Or maybe she likes sports or to go on hikes and already travels regularly - wonderful, there's a world of things you can get her, but it mostly depends on what she enjoys. Going on mountain trails and sleeping outdoors? Outdoor gear with warm sleeping bags are in session, maybe even picnic backpacks with everything she needs for a good meal even up on the mountain. If she enjoys a certain sport, see if she needs any new equipment, a new bowling ball, a new subscription to a tennis court or olympic swimming pool.

For her frequent travel, think of the old school Diana Camera that runs with film and takes dreamy photos. It's a nice addition to her regular camera as it's excellent for a bit of nostalgia.

We'd even recommend a pedal desk if she sighs that she hasn't gotten much exercise lately.

Mister Tea Infuser's happy face will relax your Mom too.

If time is an object and you just want to get something lovely and thoughtful for your Mom, we can help with that too! There are plenty of wonderful gifts she might like sorted out according to Type, like Reading with books for animal lovers, like How to tell if your cat is plotting to kill you or Sorry I pooped in your shoe (you can tell it?s a dog, right?), or maybe Decorations with the charming Family tree picture frame. Browse around and you'll surely find something to make her day a delight.

Yours truly,

Corina
